Overview

The Personal Dictionary feature in Settings allows you to add words that are frequently mistranscribed. These might include terms affected by accents, speech variations, or unfamiliar proper nouns. By customizing your dictionary, you can improve the accuracy of your clinical notes and save time by reducing transcription errors.


How to use it

Go to the Personal Dictionary tab in the Settings.

Add a word

Enter the word

  • Type the word you want to add.

  • If needed, select the appropriate language (e.g., English, Spanish).

Record a sentence

  • Say a sentence that includes the word to demonstrate how it is pronounced.

  • Example: For "metformin," you could say, "Metformin is commonly used for diabetes."

Review the transcription

  • Check that the transcription is accurate.

  • If necessary, make edits to ensure correctness.

  • Click Add word

  • Once a word is added to your Personal Dictionary, it will automatically be used for your future transcriptions.

Manage your words

  • Go to the Personal Dictionary tab to see all the words you’ve added.

  • To remove a word, hover over it and click on the trash icon.
